In orasul polonez Gdynia se practica cu succes conversia autobuzelor in troleibuze.

Faptul ca in secolul XXI inca se mai transforma autobuze in troleibuze spune de fapt totul despre rentabilitate - dincolo de vreun Popa, Pulpea sau Ionescu.

Costul de achizitie al unui troleibuz nou nu ar fi nici el sensibil mai mare decat al unui autobuz nou, daca nu ar exista situatia defavorabila a cererii pe piata. Troleibuzele noi costa mult in principal din cauza ca sunt produse in serii foarte mici. Aici este cheia problemei.
