Capitala Ecuadorului doreste achizitionarea a 90 de troleibuze biarticulate.

Sunt 113 unitati Mercedes-Benz O405G-HC din care 54 unitati au fost aduse in anul 1994 iar celelalte in anul 1999.

Interesante statiile cu peron inalt si rampele de acces. De asemenea usile de la troleibuz scurte dar cu trapa inferioara pentru facilitatea accesului tuturor categoriilor de persoane. Exista undeva in Europa troleibuze astfel construite? Banuiesc ca gandire pentru acestea a fost facuta in anul 1994. Mi-a placut si modul de intretinere si pastrare a vehiculelor. Nu stiu de ce dar imaginea mea despre America Latina era cu totul alta, mult mai trista.

Sunt foarte utile aceste sisteme TBRT din America Latina. Si economice.

Noul primar renunta la achizitionarea troleibuzelor. Vor fi cumparate 80 de autobuze biarticulate diesel (motor Euro III). O decizie idioata, deoarece la altitudine, motorul diesel are performante slabe.

Desi 23 de troleibuze au fost retrase din circulatie, flota transportului electrica nu va fi innoita in timpul mandatului actualului primar.
