In anul 2008 a inceput construirea unui depou de troleibuze, deoarece vechiul depou nr. 1 a fost inchis in anul 2006. Lucrarile au avansat in ritm de melc, asta si din cauza unui litigiu cu constructorul.

In anul 2017, reteaua de troleibuze din depoul nepus in functiune, a fost demontata, deoarece se dorea inlocuirea troleibuzelor cu autobuze electrice!

Cum autobuzele cu baterii s-au dovedit a fi nefiabile si costisitoare, s-a decis stoparea achizitionarii lor si investirea in troleibuze noi! Anul acesta a fost dat in folosinta noul depou (pentru autobuze diesel, autobuze cu baterii si troleibuze) si au inceput sa soseasca noile troleibuze MAZ-ETON 203 T 70 (cu baterii). Vor fi achizitionate 80 de astfel de troleibuze (intr-o prima etapa).
