Am considerat necesara deschiderea unui topic despre parcul circulant al C.I.W.L. (Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits - Compania Internationala a Vagoanelor de Dormit). In pozele ce urmeaza veti vedea vagoanele folosite in mod normal pe Venice Semplon Orient Express, ci nu vagoanele de dormit inchiriate Oe.B.B.-ului si inmatriculate in Austria, vagoane pe care le puteti vedea in topicul dedicat vagoanelor cuseta si de dormit straine in ,,vizita" prin Romania.

Vagoanele pe care le veti vedea, desi sunt vechi, au viteza maxima de 160 km/h, fiind dotate cu boghiuri noi. Deasemenea, oricat de nostalgic ar fi VS Orient Express, nu il veti vedea niciodata tras de locomotive cu abur, explicatia oficiala fiind ca funinginea murdareste vagoanele (!). Nu ca ar avea CFRul asemenea locomotive apte de drum lung, vezi evenimentul de acum 2 ani, cand un tren cu pasionati nemti, tras de 2 aburoase de la noi a trebuit sa astepte cateva ore bune in camp in apropiere de Videle, dupa ce unei locomotive i s-a topit un cuzinet, iar cealalta nu avea suficienta apa (!) pentru a genera aburul necesar tractarii trenului pana la Bucuresti. Salvarea de atunci a nemtilor s-a numit 60-1106-8, Sulzer de la C.F.R. Marfa :lol:

Sa vedem si vagoanele la care faceam referire. Ele sunt inmatriculate in Franta.
